About AREAS function in excel:
The Excel AREAS function returns the number of areas in a reference. The area can be a range of contiguous cells or a single cell.
Syntax for excel AREAS Function:
reference: Reference is a required field, This is a reference to a cell or range of cells. You can give reference to multiple area in a formula. In case multiple references are given in a formula, the references should be closed with the two parentheses.
You can also give Named Ranges as reference in this formula.
This function is very much helpful to check the references in a named range.
